“I began to make these small woven rag bags in the early ’80’s for throwing keys and an ID in for a night out. Soon after that I made them as gifts and then started taking commissions and selling them at various venues. They were my laboratory to figure out ways to use small pieces of weaving samples and odd bits of fabric from my collection. Some of the newer ones are lined with eco-printed fabrics and dyed with mineral and natural dyes.”
